About
Alex is a public law, planning and environmental lawyer specialising in infrastructure and energy projects and is the Head of Winckworth Sherwood’s Parliamentary, Plans and Public Law team. She has worked extensively with central government and other regulatory bodies and was a government lawyer at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (‘DECC’) before joining Winckworth Sherwood.
Alex has acted on many high-profile major infrastructure projects and, as well as acting for HS2 and Network Rail on the promotion of rail projects, has advised DECC on the making of DCOs and on the passage of Bills through Parliament. She has particular expertise in advising on Bills, drafting Orders, and negotiating with stakeholders and is a ranked lawyer in both Chambers and Legal 500.
