SoLR is a society and is reliant on people joining together and collectively setting and delivering our objectives

As a practice, land referencing includes a diverse range of skills and disciplines in research, communication and digital and we welcome members from all of these.

SoLR is a not-for-profit, guaranteed by our constitution, and run on a voluntary basis.  The membership fees we collect can only be used to further the objectives of the Society. 

As a member of SoLR, we hope you will be involved in choosing how we do this.

Ask your employer if they can cover the cost of your subscription.

Awarded free of charge to members deemed to have rendered long and/ or conspicuous service in the interests of the Society, at the discretion of the SoLR Board.  Cannot exceed 5% of total membership

Our membership subscriptions run for a recurring 12 months, from when you join. 

2 - Get involved and contribute to our community

SoLR is just getting established, so now is the ideal time to get actively involved and shape our future.  We are establishing committees under each of our core objectives of community, industry and careers, to establish and deliver our objectives.  

Ways you can be involved:

  • Attend events

  • Promote the Society

  • Join a committee

  • Write a blog

  • Suggest an improvement

  • Draw on your wider network and arrange an industry presentation for members
