The UK water industry response to climate change - Carol Cairns and Anthony Browne

Northumbrian Water, as part of the UK water industry, is continuously balancing the need to provide reliable services with the management of complex and variable environmental systems. It does this by anticipating change, planning ahead, and by seeking to make the right long-term decisions. This is even more important now with the challenges of climate change. Carol Cairns and Anthony Browne, Northumbrian Water Group, will talk through how Northumbrian Water are ensuring their system and networks meet customer expectations while creating a step change in their environmental activities, building on their role as stewards of the environment to demonstrate leadership to protect and improve the environment in the North-East of England.
