12.9 Digital datasets and services

A digital output shall include:

schema and data dictionary;

object and version identifiers;

relationship definitions;

code lists;

data types and null-value rules;

spatial specification, where applicable;

metadata and quality status;

validation results;

known limitations;

security and use restrictions; and

delivery manifest.

A machine-readable output should be accompanied by a human-readable description sufficient for an informed user to interpret it.
