5.4 Linkage

Records shall be linked to all objects necessary to explain their meaning and use.

As a minimum:

• a requirement shall be linked to the land and rights to which it relates;

• a right shall be linked to its burdened land and, where applicable, dominant land;

• a party-right relationship shall link one party to one right and state the capacity;

• a representative relationship shall link the representative, represented party, relevant right or rights, scope and duration of authority;

• evidence shall be linked to each assertion it supports or challenges;

• a derived parcel shall be linked to the source objects and derivation rule from which it was created;

• an output item shall be traceable to the current approved records from which it was generated; and

• each version shall be linked to the version it supersedes.
