7.2 Requirement classes

Each requirement shall be assigned to one or more of the following conceptual classes:

permanent acquisition or use;

temporary possession or use;

creation of a new right;

alteration or extinguishment of an existing right;

safeguarding or protective designation; and

indirect effect.

The applicable jurisdictional or procedural standard shall define local names and any sub-classes.

Where more than one class applies to the same land, each class shall be recorded separately or represented as a clearly defined combined requirement. The temporal and vertical extent of each class shall remain distinguishable.
