A.2 Core object relationships

The model is based on the following propositions:

a requirement defines why land referencing information is needed and the land or rights potentially affected;

land is the spatial object to which requirements and rights relate;

a right records a legally recognised entitlement, power, benefit, burden or obligation connected with land;

a party is linked to a right through a party-right relationship and can also represent another party;

evidence supports or challenges assertions about any core object or relationship;

process records show how objects were created, checked, changed and approved;

versions preserve the temporal state and history of controlled objects; and

outputs present selected approved objects and relationships for a defined use.
