A.5 Temporal model

The model distinguishes:

object identity, which remains stable;

object versions, which record changes in the representation;

valid time, being the period in which the represented fact is understood to apply; and

transaction time, being the time at which the organisation recorded or changed it.

Where both valid time and transaction time are material, both should be retained.
