The name, content and effect of books of reference, land plans, acquisition schedules, deposited plans, notices and equivalent documents depend on the empowering procedure.

A procedural profile should define:

inclusion categories;

geographic and administrative grouping;

prescribed descriptions and columns;

numbering conventions;

plan scale and symbology;

certification or deposit requirements;

service and publication rules; and

update requirements.
