Tim Donoyou
Data Transformation Advisory Group Co-Chair
Tim is a professional geographer, chartered by the RGS, with over 20 years of experience in delivering GIS solutions to a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects across the UK.
Tim joined Dalcour Maclaren in 2016 and over the last 10 years has developed a deep and practical understanding of land referencing and registration processes, working closely with clients, legal teams, and government bodies to resolve complex land and environmental challenges.
His work spans development consent orders, compulsory purchase, large‑scale linear infrastructure, and multi‑stakeholder schemes requiring precise, reliable land data and robust engagement with registration authorities.
As a geographer, Tim has long been an advocate for the ‘People, Process, Technology’ framework and he currently leads the ‘GeoDev’ team at Dalcour Maclaren to utilise geospatial to drive profitability, innovation and revenue generation opportunities.
Tim is passionate about advancing the use of data, digital systems, and geospatial technology to transform the land referencing discipline and as Joint Chair of the SOLR Land Registration Advisory Group, Tim leads the Society’s efforts to strengthen understanding, share insight, and provide clear, evidence‑based advice to government and registration authorities.
Tim is committed to fostering a group that is open, informed, and practically useful—supporting both the profession and the public bodies it engages with. His leadership aims to create a platform where issues can be surfaced early, solutions can be co‑developed, and the land referencing community can play a meaningful role in shaping a more efficient and effective registration landscape across the UK.
