The professional practice of identifying land and interests in land and applying this information to address the needs of those requiring it. It is therefore the professional practice of identifying and classifying persons and organizations holding legal interests and rights over land which is or may be subject to development, typically to support associated consultation, planning and land and rights acquisition processes
